Welcome!
Happy 2022 and—ta🎺da—Welcome to my new blog. I took my blog down after a picture I posted exposed a relationship that I didn’t know was a secret, causing a family rift, and I felt awful about it (understatement). So I disappeared myself off the internet. But I missed blogging. So I’m back and this new blog is private. You are here by invitation. Unfortunately, in the meantime, Blogger removed some key elements; subscription/notification is no longer supported. So you’ll need to bookmark the page, sorry. I left the widget up (on the right), you’ll see it goes nowhere helpful. Or maybe it does.
More disclaimers: I didn’t do a whole lot of quilting last year because of my neck. I have arthritis and degenerative disc disease so doing anything where I’m looking down for a long period, even working a crossword puzzle, causes intense, lasting pain. But I can work for about an hour or two—and so I have learned to respect my limitations.
2021 was crap. I didn’t have much quilting to blog about, we didn’t travel (thanks Covid), and there were precious few funster events to mention, so deep-sixing the blog seemed to fit. But I missed it. The good news is there are many things I like to do that don’t cause agony. Like golf. And bridge. And cooking, drinking, eating, all of which I can do well. And blogging.
So let’s start with Christmas. I hope yours was wonderful. For me, it was special to have everyone together again after last year’s lockdown bust. Jim and I hosted Christmas Eve Dinner.
My stepdaughter Michelle.
We celebrated New Year’s Eve in Carlsbad with our friends Tom and Deborah. Tom made that prime rib on the barbie and it was outstanding. The New Year’s plans were in place before Sally was foisted upon us, so we brought her with us. Sally is all about the food, so she’s never far when there’s a chance someone will drop something.
In the quilting world, I need to get quilting on this. It kind of big and complex and I admit I have some trepidation about it.
Well, that’s about it for now, I wish you well and hope to see you around.
